Building on the tradition of the Kerrville Folk Festival, house concerts in Texas began to pop up in the 1980s (according to Texas Highways, Feb 1998). The intimate setting offers audiences the opportunity to hear music not heard on commercial radio. Click on the Concerts link at left to find out about for our next concert. We have the great fortune to live in a home destined to be a public space, a decommissioned train depot, with accoustics meant for live music. With plans to offer approximately four concerts a year, we hope to honor the countless musicians of extraordinary talent who oftentimes lack the audience or financial reward which they deserve. The series will alternately feature singer songwriters and Latin music. We can accommodate about 40 people, so please let us know if you plan to join us by making a reservation. Send us an email and we'll add you to our list announcing upcoming house concerts. Hope to see you at a concert! |
